“Heroes are made not born, you too can be a hero,” is the essential message of comic actress Amanda Nicastro. In her case heroism came when she volunteered to donate her kidney to her ailing sister who might have died without a transplant. What Amanda wants us to know and tells us in her perky non intimidating way is that we should sign organ donor cards so sick people can receive our organs after our demise. Sounds crazy that a solo performance with that message would be engaging but Nicastro pulls it off with humor and admirable self-reflection. Another winner."

Phoenicia Fringe Festival
I'm Just Kidneying continued to ride the wave Summer of 2019 by packing the house at 59E59's East to Edinburgh festival before heading to Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the largest, longest running, and most prestigious fringe festival in the world. During a whirlwind month of daily performances in Scotland I'm Just Kidneying was recognized as an astounding feminist work by Bechdel Theatre, awarded glowing four star reviews by critics, and enjoyed sold out performances to the delight of international audiences.
I'm Just Kidneying closed out 2019 with successful runs at both Free Fringe Philly and Houston Fringe.
